A workshop business site with booking and structured answers

Mindfulness education

For a mindfulness education business, we built a workshop site with listings, booking, an admin panel and a blog, then shipped a phase gated upgrade: calmer motion, full reduced motion support, and frequently asked questions marked up so search engines and AI assistants can quote the answers directly. The eight phase upgrade shipped in a day.

The gate

Calm is enforced, not hoped for. Every animation, including the hero, stops for visitors who set the reduced motion preference, and each phase of the upgrade passed a verification check before it was committed.

The challenge

Workshop enquiries arrived as repeated questions that were already answered on the site, just not in a form search engines or AI assistants could quote.

Why it mattered

Every repeated question is time the team spends answering email instead of running workshops, and every answer a search engine cannot quote is a prospective booking that finds someone else first.

What we built

  • Built workshop listings with booking logic and an admin panel the team runs.
  • Added a blog and a set of eight frequently asked questions.
  • Marked the answers up as structured data for search and AI visibility.
  • Delivered an eight phase upgrade, each phase verified and committed before the next began.

The result

  • Frequently asked questions that search engines and AI assistants can quote directly.
  • Motion that switches off across the whole site for visitors who ask for reduced motion.
  • A bespoke image for each workshop, and public pages moved to optimised images.
  • A live site the team updates from its own admin panel.

Built for trust

Calm is enforced, not hoped for. Every animation, including the hero, stops for visitors who set the reduced motion preference, and each phase of the upgrade passed a verification check before it was committed.

AI at work

Eight answers to the questions enquirers ask most are marked up so search engines and AI assistants can quote them directly, answering repeat questions before they become emails. Each workshop also carries a bespoke image made with AI image generation and checked before it went live.

What it produces

  • eight answers search engines and AI assistants can quote
  • a bespoke image for each workshop
  • quick answers on the contact page
  • workshop listings the team edits from its admin panel

How it works, day to day

The team's answers live in one list on the site. The custom workshop page publishes them with a structured marker that search engines and AI assistants read, and the contact page shows the first four for visitors in a hurry.

Where it saves time, and gets better with use

  • Repeat questions are answered at the point of search, so the team spends less time sending the same reply.
  • A new answer added to the list is picked up by search engines and assistants the next time they read the page.
  • The image direction is written once, so the next workshop's image matches the set.

The technology

  • Workshops listed, with booking
  • An admin panel the team runs
  • Answers written so search engines can quote them
Technical notes
  • FAQ structured data emitted per page
  • Phase gated implementation plan with a review at each phase
  • Smooth scrolling and hero animation disabled under reduced motion

Questions we get asked

Why mark up FAQ answers as structured data?
Structured data tells search engines and AI assistants exactly which text is the question and which is the answer, so they can quote the answer directly instead of guessing.
How was the upgrade delivered?
As an eight phase plan, each phase ending in a verification check and its own commit. The project history shows the plan and all eight phases completed in a single day.
